OUR HYBRID POWER AND CONTROL TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS

AMPShas implemented its proprietary hybrid power and control technology in a diverse array of products and vehicles. AMPS GENSET HYBRID LOCOMOTIVE

In 2013, AMPS’ extensive experience with a variety of locomotives and other sophisticated hybrid vehicles culminated in our new GenSet Hybrid GSHX 3380 Road Switching Locomotive.

LEAF Hybrid Switch Locomotive

In less than 5 months AMPS was able to develop the gen-set (power and control system) for Railserve’s LEAF Switch Locomotive.

PHETT - Hybrid Terminal Tractor

In spring of 2008, after AMPS introduced Capacity of Texas to Emisstar, a company that writes grants, a successful grant for $722 K was written for Capacity of Texas to build a plug hybrid terminal tractor in the amount of $722K.

Alternative Motive Power Systems was responsible for Hybrid Systems Integration Assistance (including wire harness design), overall Vehicle Control Architecture as well as Vehicle Control Programming.

Early 2009 Taylor Machine Works contacted AMPS after being referred by Capacity of Texas to discuss developing hybrid power and control systems for their Rubber Tire Gantry Crane.

This is scheduled to be the next project AMPS takes on for Taylor Machine Works once the Rubber Tire Gantry Crane is complete which will be the end of 2010.
